Bravo Boys!

The poem penned below is dedicated to Prajwal K A and Steven Harris, students of Sri Sheshadri Mokshagundam, our Art Teacher and Founder of SheshadrisArtpourri as a mark of 1st year celebration of SheshadrisArtpourri Online Art Gallery on FB page.

Bravo Boys!
Sitting tall and standing out
Towering over like a spire
Amidst the "Class"y crowd of SheshadrisArtpourri
Your artworks…..
They inspire us to perspire
To tire, tire and re-tire
Never say retire
As long as we respire !

In your works, we get the message
Practise pampering every bit of paper
Drawing your own rules (I mean lines!)
You can soon rule out using a ruler
Shower your love on any piece of paper
It loves your doodling, be it with pen or pencil
And for lettering, you need not style it with stencil !

Your works….they state
Celebrate scribbling
With cheese in plate and chalk on slate
Pour your pet paints on palette
Be bold and brush them gently
On fabric, they look chic
On canvas, they look class
On paper, they are simply super!
To your life, they add colour and vigour
Ever ready shall be your mind and body
To take on more rigour!
While you paint, sit still like a saint J
And enjoy the flow
Dive deep into your heart
Bow now to that Divine Light Glow !

Your paintings…they preach:
“Right from your raw young age
Practise Art in any form
Dance or doodle, sing or strum
Sketch or etch, sculpt or paint
On reaching ripe old age
You can sermon about
‘The Living of Art and The Art of Living’
Just like a sage”

Bravo Boys….God Bless!

Sketching and Painting

It is never too late to discover oneself and this is what happened to me when at some point of time in my life, I discovered that I too shall "make an attempt" to sketch and paint!
Painting is an art that lets me express myself when words fail ... and what an exciting way it is to keep myself recreated in a creative way! It requires the ability to translate one's thoughts into images through carefully controlled movements of the hand and visualization of colors and lines in the mind. Can one deny that it is not meditative?
A few of my creations evolved out of my imagination while many others are "Re-creations" of other artists known and unknown.

My humble attempts at sketching and painting can be viewed in "MangalasArtpourri" section of this blog.

Paintings from SheshadrisArtpourri

SheshadrisArtpourri was founded by Sri Sheshadri Mokshagundam in 1990s after being trained under the able guidance of world renowned artist Sri B K S VARMA. SheshadrisArtpourri aims to showcase an adorable and affordable Artipelago of Artworks created by Shesh Sir’s students under his hearty guidance. Artworks presented here are mainly recreation of works originally created by Master Artists of National / International fame (Yessss… Celebrating, Reliving and Honouring Master Artists remains the main motto of SheshadrisArtpourri) They are also recreated through various other sources, Shesh Sir’s personal, over 3 decade old Art Library notwithstanding!!
