Penned this poem just now for Samika, daughter of my good friend n fellow Archie Chitra Sundarajan.
Sayonara Samika…wish you La Bonne Vie
As you tread your way, flying away
Smooth sailing may it be,
Your life ahead, when you resume
Right n Bright, may you design it to be
Just so, when you reink your resume
Spic, span and sparkling, sure it
shall be.
To the world who are eager to know
your identity
The Author i.e., You sweetly state
with authority
“Through the Looking Glass”
Can you please read me
Sure you will know at a glance
That I write, write n write
Sing, sing n sing
Learn n teach n teach n learn
The Art of Arts i.e. Music n Dance
As you dance, sing n write
Weaving your way to La Bonne Vie
With plenty of pride we shall be,
Verdant green with envy
For the svelte and suave Sami (ka)
Who is forever beaming with bonhomie!
