SOLUTIONS to Cryptic Clues CB 6 to CB 10

CB 6: Spa rebuilt for a viper (3) ASP

CB 7: Request for a pedal (5) PLEAD

CB 8: Cease those pots (4) STOP

CB 9: Stare at a pink rayed flower (5) ASTER

CB 10: Part of an enclosure (4) TRAP


In each of the above clues, words coloured in red are “Questions” i.e. they are words/phrase for which you have to give a synonym as Answer. Words in italic are anagrammed to create a new word which is the synonym i.e. the Answer.

For example, in CB 6, answer is ASP because it is a synonym of the word “viper” and is derived by anagramming letters of the word “spa”.
(Anagram is a word that is formed by rearranging letters of another word)
